1) Each student will choose a business from those listed below and shop for a complete system (including software) within a specified budget limit ($2000)
· a small business
· a business designing web pages
· big time games
· a business creating & editing videos and photography
· the average home
· conducting business on the Internet or E-commerce
· music recording & music promotion
· a business designing building plans or architecture
· a business producing magazines, brochures & advertising products
· a large business requiring that requires that has a huge database and requires Intranet and network capabilities

2) The assignment must be keyed up and a minimal of four typed pages (double-spaced). You will save the assignment to the P: drive or print it.

3) Each student must obtain information and advice from the three sources listed below and a bibliography is required stating the exact source:

Evaluation Criterion
Assignment keyed, minimum of 3 pages, spell checked, total cost specified = 5 marks
Comprehensive and complete list of specifications for each of the above categories = 10 marks
Software list = 5 marks
Detailed explanation justifying the arts and cost analysis = 15 marks
Three sources used and listed in a Bibliography = 2 marks
Assignment laid out well, easy to read and professional and within budget = 5 marks
Used class time well to do the assignment = 8 marks
